Book Review: "Breeder" glorifies negligent parenting

If this book represents our future, as raised by the current crop of parents, then I weep for our future. The parents described in this book sound like horrors from a "Saturday Night Live" sketch. Perhaps one must be a parent to find these stories amusing or beneficial in any way. For this non-parent, "Breeder" triggered boredom at best and disgust at worst. Erma Bombeck did parenting humor much better, and without nauseating stories such as children gnawing on vibrators.
