"Brian's Winter"

If you dont like reading novles about adventure in the wilderness, then this is not a novel for you. The main charector, Brian Robeson, is only thirteen years old, he learned to survive alone in the wilderness for a very long time because he was stranded there. While reading this novel, you will wonder what would happen if Brian was never rescued and how he would survive this. You will read about Brian's wild adventure in the winter.
Overall, I didn't care for this novel a lot because this novel is only about what would have happend to Brian if he had never been found. But, through out this story, you know that Brian did get rescued. You know this because of the ending to "Hatchet." There are also two other novels that relate to Brian Robeson. These are called, "The River," and "Brian's Return". Some good parts of this novel are the plot, setting and the charectors. I liked these things in the book most because they seem to grab me and lift me up to read this whole entire novel. I also like it that these are well written in this novel because the put me in the position of what it would be like to accualy be stranded alone in the Canadian Wilderness. This novel is vert exciting ang WILL literally keep you on the edge of you'r seat until you are able to finish it. I highly recomend the author of these books, Gary Paulsen!
