Book Review: The best novel of the last few years

There is nothing I don't love about this book. It's hilariously funny (more power to americans for getting it). It's very moving. It's full of wonderful insight. And the whole 'she's so sad she's always moaning about not having a man' thing is rubbish - don't you get satire, people?It's my favourite book. My second favourite is Pride and Prejudice on which this is based. I think this is better.

I really enjoyed this book that was bought for me by my brother whose girlfriend had bought it for him - as she wanted to keep her copy and he lent it to my brother and i made 2 other people read it as well ! Really worth a look althought it's prob. appeals more to english middle aged women the most ! ( me 25 year old from surrey, 1100 calories today V.good and No cigerates ! I too like so many of the other reviewers have had the embarrasment of laughing out loud in the strangest places. My housemates think that I am mad, but I too have converted them to Bridget. It's good to know that I am not the only one out there who worries about her weight, the tick tock of "the clock" and also about the prospect of being a singleton for the rest of my life, while all Smug marrieds get on with being smug.Bridget should be read by everyone, of all ages (well over 20 anyway), they will see at least one character that they can relate to in this book. It is not only a book, but a reassuring friend, that hepls all your problems seem not so bad after all ( and it's also a damn good laugh!)It is the best self help book you can invest in!Book Review: Very funny

Bridget Jones Diary was one of the funniest things I read during the summer. I almost caused my relatives to go deaf with me cracking up every five minutes because of Bridget and her antics. I thought her friends, Jude, Shazzer, and Tom were hysterical, and thank God I do not have a Pam Jones type of mother. The book is hysterical. I can not wait to read the sequel.
