Book Review: Comprehensive, if biased account!

This biography traces the members of ABBA from their pre-ABBA days right up to the present day. The characters of the member, their relationships with each other, the music they created and the gradual break-down of the group is all dissected with the detail ABBA-ologists will relish. No amazing new insights offered here, although this biography is a far more rationalised, less salacious version of the group than 1995's The Name of the Game. The only major weakness is Palm's bias towards certain group members - his bias towards Frida is very evident, and he tends to ignore the fact that the majority of the singles (and ABBA were a singles group) were sung by Agnetha. Agnetha's skill at singing great songs of heartbreak is also underestimated! Nevertheless, a fascinating read.
