Book Reviews of BrokenBook Review: Had Me Until The End Summary: 2 Stars
Moyer's memoir of addiction is compelling and gritty -- right up until the end, when it turns preachy. It's nice for Moyers that he was able to use religion to help him get clean and sober, but his narrative would have been far better if he had simply told the story and not tried to convert readers.
Book Review: Inside the Mind of an Addict Summary: 5 Stars
Moyers puts the reader into the mind of an addict; and I should know because I am an addict too. I have read lots of recovery memoirs and this is the best at recreating the thinking of an active addict. I wished he had spent more time on his treatment and the changes in thinking that are the core of recovery.

Book Review: One of the best books I've read on this very important subject of addiction Summary: 5 Stars
I have three sons, two whom have suffered the horrific pains of drug addiction. I have struggled with the how's and the why's for so long. This book has given me such insight in more fully understanding not only how this can happen to those we love but what goes on in the mind of the addict. It has restored my hopes that my son's will find a way to tackle their demons so they may too have a chance at a renewed life full of wonderful possibilites.
Book Review: Uplifting Summary: 5 Stars
Having walked through the hell of having a child with profound substance abuse issues, I found this book a biography I could identify with. Congratulations to Cope and his family. No one gets sober in a straight line and without help and support.
