What a hoot.Truely entertaining and fun.

Book Review: poor hef
Summary: 4 Stars

Yeah, right
Do you think he would have 6 young girlfriends if he didn't buy them "stuff"
Come on he is 80 years old, he is getting alot of sex for very little money.

Book Review: really cool book
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was really good. I couldnt stop reading it. Im a fan of the show Girls Next Door and the author mentions things about all the them (since she was a girlfriend at one time too). Many other celebrties are mentioned. Color photos.

Book Review: sour grapes make bitter wine
Summary: 2 Stars

This book reads exactly like what it is-- a gossipy tell-all written by a woman scorned. Although I was surprised by all of the the contradictions, typos, and grammatical errors--either the publisher was too eager to get this book on the store shelves to bother with an editor, or this girl really needs some lessons in English! The book really delivers the dirt on the sex practices of the world's oldest hedonist, and the playmate girlfriend hierarchy....and that is what we are really after anyhow! It makes a fun beach read for the summer, but that's about it.

Book Review: what an abuse of trust!
Summary: 1 Stars

I think it was really tacky of Izabella St. James to write this book. It was a complete trashing of the trust that Hugh Hefner had in her and in all his girlfriends. While Hef is a public figure and famous, it doesn't mean it's right to reveal extremely personal and intimate things about his life to the world. What goes on in the bedroom should remain there, whether you're famous or not. How many of us would write a book about a former boyfriend/girlfriend and talk about what they're like in bed? Not many, I hope.

The book is also poorly written. Izabella flip flops in her opinions all the way through. For example, in the chapter about the gifts and perks she received as a girlfriend, she complains about receiving cash instead of a "thing", complains about the gifts being strange or inappropriate, and then at the end of the chapter she praises Hef for being kind and generous. In the chapter about partying, she complains that Hef never wanted to stay long at a VIP party or club and she never had fun, yet a few sentences later she thanks Hef for taking her to the parties or clubs (places she'd never be at otherwise!). While she says that Hef was kind and a gentleman, she complains that she was never attracted to him on a physical level and only liked his mind, wealth, and power. She nitpicks on Hef all the way through the book, then has the audacity to thank him warmly in the acknowledgments.

She also rips on Holly and Bridget as if she was jealous that she isn't on the TV show.

I was appalled.

Finally, was there an editor at the publisher, or were they out to lunch? On every page you will find run-on sentences and grammatical errors that'll make you wince. In some cases there are verbs or nouns missing. In the SAME paragraph she misspells Brande Roderick's name different ways-- as Brandy, Brandi, and Brande! Hello? Proof-readers, anyone?

Shame on Izabella St. James! No one, famous or not, deserves this kind of abuse of intimate trust.
