Book Review: Buy this book......if it's on the bargain table!

I'm a huge fan of The Girls Next Door so I was very curious about life inside the mansion and when the cameras weren't on! It's obvious that St. James was jealous of Holly. She bitches a lot about Hef not paying her student loan and that Kendra ended up getting the car that she wanted! It still gives you an insight into life at the mansion but I would only buy this book off the bargain shelf! This is a poorly-written tell-all full of hackneyed sentimental sayings and bilge. St. James' memoir is rampant with self-contradictions, for example when she says she would not ever have considered posing for Playboy, even if she had been asked, but later on the same page says she would have if it had paid off her school loans. Scattered throughout are bitter, nasty cracks at her former rivals in the Mansion and Hef himself. Although these are uncomfortable to read, at least they indicate that St. James is being brutally honest concerning her feelings towards her former flame and co-girlfriends. Despite its shortcomings, the book is excellent for those interested in exactly how the girlfriend setup at the Mansion works and the history of how the "Girls Next Door" came to be three.Book Review: Chris

This was a mean-spirited book and not worth the time or money. She is obviously trying to make money off Hef and is jealous she is not on the tv show. It was really annoying how many times she said she was a law school graduate. Insecure?!?Book Review: Could be better

Although I loved this book, I felt it was a tad boring (as Ms. St. James claims Hef is). I did not care to read about Poland or Canada. I thought she was brutally truthful when describing the other girlfriends and got quite a few laughs. All in all, it was worth the read.Book Review: Could she whine any more??

I have to admit it was very interesting to learn some of the "backstage" operations of the Mansion, Hef and the Girlfriends. BUT I would rather hear it from someone else. All she talks about is how educated she is and how she doesnt fit into the "blond bunny mold", but she was there for over 2 years. She is no better than any of the Girlfriends she was trashing and she was certainly jealous of Holly, no matter how much she denies that.
TYPOS!! WOAH! Did she fall asleep on the keyboard and NOONE read it? I think they were as bored with reading it as I was. But common guys, you could have proof read better than that!!! Are you kidding me...every other page! Even things like "the;n"... how distrating is that.
Anyway...if you want a few good pages of gossip or behind the scenes info, purchase a used copy or borrow a friends. This is NOT one you want to read 2x!!
Izabella- get over it already!
