Book Review: Ain't knockin the content, but the author needs work

I'm reading this book for a college hip-hop class, and i like what the book is trying to say, but can't stop getting hung up on, what seems like, the author's inexperience in writing anything longer than a magazine article. I constantly find myself getting caught up on his structural sentence errors. Several times I have had to re-read a sentence so many times that by the time i figure out what it means i have to start the paragraph over again. Like the title says, i'm not saying the author doesn't know his facts, I just wish he knew how to write them.
