Book Reviews of Cardcaptor Sakura 1Book Review: Cardcaptor Sakura....hmm let me think... Summary: 5 Stars
I just bought this book. It is the cutest!I love the drawings and that certain style it has. Tomoyo, Sakura's friend, designs her clothes, which although weird, are VERY cute...and Kero is not a CAT. I was misled about this. I would give this book 10 stars if I could!
Book Review: Cherryblossom Summary: 5 Stars
My absolute favorite! I won't go and summerize the plot for you people reading this (God only knows you've had enough of that!) But I will give you a helpfull hint: If you want to see the WHOLE, UNCUT TV SERIES look up "CardCaptor Sakura" under all products at this website, and select either zshops or auctions. On these you can buy the whole thing subtitled (movies and all). I can't STRESS enough how much you need to see this if all you've seen is the dubbed version.
Book Review: Clamp has really out done themselves this time. Summary: 5 Stars
Clamp is known for it's beautiful artwork and Card Captor Sakura is far from an exception. The story centers around a little girl named Sakura who happens upon a magic book next to a small sleeping mouse-like creature with wings. She opens the book and 20 cards escape from it. When the mouse creature awakes she discovers that the book is the book of Clow (pronounced like cow not glow) and the cards (clow cards) were trapped inside of it. Since it was she who released them it is now Sakura's job to capture them, hence the name. She goes off and with the help of the mouse creature (I can't for the life of me recall his name) uses a bunch of unique fighting outfits and weapons. This one deserved 6+ stars not 5.
Book Review: Cute Summary: 4 Stars
Cadcaptor Sakura is a cool series about a girl whose goal is to re-collect magical cards that she accidently released from an ancient book, with the help of a pixie-like creature she also released from the book, Keroberos, or Kero for short. The neat costumes Sakura's best friend makes for her to fight evil in are flashy, lacey, and fluffy dresses with matching hats. The characters are memorable, and each has something to offer. The Clow Cards pose a threat, but not so much of one that you can't enjoy Sakura's life outside of battle.
Overall, I would say THIS book is good, but the second book contains extremly mature, and...well...kind of gross content that kids shouldn't be reading. I still re-read the first and second books that I purchased because I know what to expect, and it doesn't change my opinion of the world or bother me much, but I definitely don't plan on buying any other books in this series.
I wrote this review for the first manga book, but for some reason it is being shown as a review for the second one. I'm just telling you so that you don't get the wrong idea.
Book Review: Cute! Summary: 3 Stars
Although everyone says the book is best than the anime, I prefer the anime, because it has more details and episodes than the manga. I agree the drawings are very good, but still the TV show wins! But, if you want to keep the story close to you, so that you can entertain yourself anytime you want, I recomend you buy the manga! It's still worth while!
