Book Review: Very very disappointing

I was impressed with the index of this book - the recipes were varied with favourits such as curry goat, bakes and escovitch fish, but also some new things that I was very keen to try out. Upon reciept however, I was compelled to return the book to Amazon, because although the recipes seem reasonably authentic enough, there were no pictures or photographs - NOT A SINGLE ONE (excluding the picture on the front cover).
I'm not sure how the author expects readers to re-create the dishes without knowing how they should at least look. I didn't expect every dish to be illustrated, but I did expect some of them to be, especially the popular ones. For this reason, and this reason alone, I give this book a poor rating, and do not recommend that anyone should buy it.
My quest for another carribean cookbook therefore continues .....
