Book Review: complicated dynamics

The basic idea is easy enough. In classical physics, imagine hard spheres indulging in specular reflections off each other and off some confining walls. Then add in some source of chaotic behaviour. The result is some quite complicated dynamics. Where Lyapunov exponents might arise in trying to characterise these trajectories. Unstable manifolds arise. The book goes into their ergodic and statistical properties. The authors report some quite elegant conclusions. As well as applications in various fields.
Maybe the best value of the book is how it centralises results scattered over many research journals and many years.
