My sailing instructor told me this book is required reading for anyone who owns a boat, in his opinion. At 900+ pages, this is not a page-turner but rather a reference volume you go back to again and again.
Chapman is like "sailor's crack." Once you start thumbing through its well-illustrated pages, you're hooked.
