Summary: 5 Stars
I enjoyed this book thoroughly! It covers the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit from after the time line of the Bible to about 350AD. It covers many of the well known church fathers such as Ignatius, The Shepherd of Hermes, Clement, etc. detailing where in their epistles and documents they discuss the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit such as speaking in tongues, Work of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom, Healing, raising the dead, prophecy, etc.
There is also a section where the author covers spurious, pseudopigraphal, and apocryphal writings of the time period and their input on the Holy Spirit which shows a general understanding of what many people of the time period believed about the Spiritual Gifts.
I really recommend any pentecostal that is interested in church history pick this up!
