Book Review: Great book on tactics!

They say that Chess is mostly pattern recognition,thas what we have all been told right? It took me longer then I care to talk about here lol to find out just in what the hell a "Chess Pattern" really is. However this book is a good first book on beginner tactics because it has alot of basic tactical patterns that one will be able to find and make good use of in their actual games. This wasn't my first book on tactics tho,so thas why it seemed easy to me,I started with both of Susan Polgar's two works,her first book and the other one on mainly just tactics. So I had a bit of a foundation but if you're a beginner this book does a good job of explaining the basic tactical devices here that. My advice is to keep repping and repping and repping the patterns,till u think u were born knowing these patterns. Most of us,don't get it the first time around and so repetition will definitely help, afterall that's how we learn. Overall a good book,I had to take away a star because of the lack of exercises on each tactical device,more would have been nice,I keep hoping someone makes a giant book full of tactics,easy tactics to really nail home the basic patterns,a book like the "Polgar Brick" which focused only on mating problems. That would be nice,or perhaps I'll have to create the book myself lol. Either way,it's a good book and you will enjoy it and learn alot from it,especially if u kno nothing on tactics.
