If you're a fan of the current Chicago Bears team with stars like Urlacher and Hester, or you want to relive the untouchable Bears of '85, it's all here and a lot more. The Bears have had many glory teams ever since the origins of pro-football back in the 1920's and like today's stars, they all get a mention and come to life here. The book tells the story of the Bears decade by decade and includes in each section individual profiles of the men that helped build the reputation of one of the great and founding organisations of what was to become the NFL. The Chicago Bears has more Hall of Fame representatives than any other team in the NFL and the stories of those men and the teams they played in are reproduced with plenty of photographs and statistics in support. And if, like me, you're not a native of Chicago, and you ask yourself what it was that made you choose to follow the Bears above all the others, well it could just be the ever present 'spirit' of the team, and it's reflected well in this comprehensive and informative book.
