Book Review: A Friendly Ghost goes a long way
Summary: 5 Stars
I really enjoyed this story. Ryan and Lara just connected right away but it took some convincing, especially from Ryan's late wife, to get things moving. Both were strong characters who had gone through some tough, trying times.
Ryan is a widower raising his 5 year old son. Lara is his son's teacher who was hurt by an ex-fiance. They meet and sparks fly, as well as some subliminal slips of the lips. Though it's hard for them, they start a relationship, regardless of what family and friends feel. They both realize it's the start of something real and don't let his late wife's mother or her family stop them.
I love his little boy. He takes to Ms. Body, oops, he meant to say Ms. Boyd, right away. And their friends and family were very interesting. I love her family. And his parents were great, during their little cameo. Now his mother-in-law had issues, though rightfully so. It's just that she was a complete jerk to Lara and didn't comfront her feelings about the situation in a healthy way.
If you want to read a sweet romance with two very likeable characters, then Choices is the book for you.
