Book Reviews of Chord ChemistryBook Review: If you purchase one book of guitar chords, this is THE ONE! Summary: 5 Stars
Most chord books are encyclopedias promising 10,000 guitar chords. What you get is about 900 in the 12 positions on the neck!
All chords in Chord Chemistry are shown in a single position only. This book has more chords and better explanations of how to learn and use them than any other book I've seen in 35 years of study.
Book Review: Insanely Perfect Summary: 5 Stars
I see a lot of great guitar players. Many who think they know it all. I ask one question: DO YOU OWN CHORD CHEMISTRY BY TED GREENE? If the answer is no, then the conversation is over. When you've reached a plateau in any genre of guitar playing you need this book. When you've reached it again, it's time to re-read this book. In my musical library, guitar books will come and go. This book will always have a spot on the top shelf. This is not for the beginner, nor the intermediate as it does require a great deal of dedication. Chord Chemistry is the guarded secret of many great players.

Book Review: Lots of information.. Summary: 5 Stars
Wow...What a book. It goes really deep into chords, all possible inversions and variations. A book you will use for years, never end learning from it. Also, it encourages you to learn more on other important aspects, like sight reading, ear training, etc., and to be musical, not a cyborg who knows a zillion different chords but can't use them. Really pleased with it, I would recommend it. Never too late to start really to learn.
Book Review: One of the Best Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this book 20 years ago, studied it, and learned it (well, most of it, anyway). I've recommended this title to students and fellow musicians for years. Chord theory never seemed so simple. Section 5, Chord Formulas, successfully covers one tough subject in three pages. Excellent.
Book Review: One word: Essential Summary: 5 Stars
If you can only afford one book for the study of guitar, this is your best choice! Most other books on the subject of chord theory present a chord form, and tell you how it's constructed...end of story. Ted Greene takes chords and derives an exhausting amount theory and application that it enables you to take a simple chord and run with it. There are very few educational resources that I would recommend for others, but this definatly qualifies. Buy this book!
