It has been a long time since I have read a book that spoke to my very soul like this beautiful story. From beginning to end a well written, thought provoking story. Reading it rekindled the forgotten sound of my horses munching their hay and the sight of their breath coming from their noses. Susann Richards was also able to completely capture and put in words the deep longing for a lost mother's love--something that never diminishes, no matter how old you get.Book Review: A very beautiful and loving story.....

Before I started this book, I had read many reviews of it. Why I wanted to read it, I don't know. It was different. It took me a day and a half to finish it, and I strongly recommend it to anyone who knows anything about horses, which I don't. It is truly a moving memoir and I wish good luck to the woman who shared her life with me. I immediately gave it to a friend of mine, who at one time owned three horses, and seemed to understand the situation when I described it to her. I truly enjoyed the story.Book Review: A wonderful book!:)

I found this book on Amazon and I am a new horse owner at 53. I laughed and cried. It is an amazing story and as soon as I finished the book I went to hug and kiss my horse! It was such a GREAT story that I reread the praises at the beginning of the book and I just ordered Laura Cunningham's book....OHHHHH...I hope it is as heartwarming as this. I was very touched by this book! Thank you!
