I just read it on holiday. We went to Myrtle Beach, USA to spend time with my son, his wife and baby grandaughter so relaxing while babysitting gave me plenty of time to read.
IF you were single and lived and worked in London in the 60s, then reading this book was like dropping back into that era.
I was young and naive when I went up to London to work in 1963. We used to go to the Marquee to listen to the music, and of course I chatted with Eric many times after he had played a session with the Yardbirds. It was lovely to follow his life struggle and see that he is so happy now.
We all have a story to tell as very few of us have had an easy ride, so I really indentify with him. He told it well and I found it very interesteing. I wish him luck for the future.
