Book Review: An inspiration to all clutterholics

To say this book changed my outlook on life is an understatement. It is so easy to follow and makes such sense that you want to jump up and follow the instructions immediately. It gives you a new way of looking at things which make a lot of sense when you have been hoarding for over 30 years. (My daughter bought the book for me as I think she was scared I was going to leave all my clutter to her in my will). This book both explains the benefits of clutter clearing and inspires you to actually do it! And it IS true that clutter clearing your house also clutter clears yourself. I have been doing it for one year (yes, a full year), and I have never had such few possessions but I also have never enjoyed them so much!Book Review: I didn't think I had much clutter left, but I was wrong!

I bought Karen's earlier book, 'Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui' about 4 years ago, and it really got things moving in my life! This book takes the clutter clearing even further. I have always been organised and minimalist, and loved putting Karen's principles into practice. Last week, even though I regularly clear out unwanted stuff, I realised that I needed an inspiration boost. This book really did the trick! I have literally been through each cupboard, drawer and shelf in turn, taken everything off/out then decided what to put back. I have been working on my house for five days. Today I cleared two bins full of paper from my 'orderly' files! I have tried on every single item in my wardrobe and finally given myself permission to buy myself some new clothes. After reading Karen's first book, I realised that I bought a lot of things on impulse, and have managed to limit that kind of shopping. After reading this book, I realised that I have been making do with a lot of things that I did not really love. As I have cleared, I am finding peace and joy in my life. I have already given the book to a friend, and I am just about to buy it for another!Book Review: Excellent motivation

I love this little book, ever since I was a child I have held onto things for the most unsound reasons. If this doesn't help you get rid of stuff that has been hanging around for years, for all the wrong reasons, nothing will!Book Review: Completely inspirational

This book is the weirdest thing because as you read your way through you become more and more enthusiastic to begin. You want to keep reading but you really want to be clearing at the same time! I didn't even go to the bookshop for a book on decluttering but saw it and bought it on instinct.
