Book Review: Slow start, fast ending.

The ending shocked me, too! It was oddly unexpected and I sat there and asked myself why did I not figure this out? I love that.
The beginning was a little slow. Might've been because I got sick shortly after reading this book. Felt like I was reading it forEVER! Sometimes that's okay. See, the novel needed to be this long for the characters to get so... out of it. Like Strike, at first he's just kinda nervous. And Rocco, he feels like he doesn't fit in, or at least like he's just a little... off. I've felt like that before. Everything is a little dimmer than it should be. Or off-color. Ya know? Then this murder occurs and everything just goes nutty.
I really liked it. Not sure whether to give it four or five stars, so that means it had to be a four. You KNOW when a book is a five star. I guess my only problem is that it felt like it took forever. I know, it's like 600 pages. Okay? I actually like longer books. I get attached to my characters and I usually want to keep reading it forever if I love it. I think it might've been because I was sick. Cause I stayed up way too long a whole lot of nights. It was good. BUY IT.
