Book Review: Incredibly overblown and ridiculous.

Perhaps it pays to be wary of books that come with so much hype. While the central characters path home is certainly arduous it is nothing compared to the trials of the pitiable reader who slogs on through to the end. It's not hard to see why this book was so popular in the States as its full of the heavy handed mythologising they seem to adore. I imagine its not the last we've heard of it as no doubt a blockbuster movie is on its way - for some reason whenever I try to picture Inman - which admittedly I'm trying to avoid - all I can see is Tom Hanks!
