Book Reviews of Complete Vampire Chronicles (Interview with the Vampire, The Vampire Lestat, The Queen of the Damned, The Tale of the body Thief)

Book Review: Incredibly thought-proveking,disterbing and riveting series.
Summary: 5 Stars

In my opinion Anne Rice has thought through the plot and circumstances thourghly and gave a vivid discription of her charcters in each volume. I especially liked 'The Evil Vampire Lestat.' I thought it was brillantly written for both mortal and imortal.

Book Review: completly capturing
Summary: 5 Stars

Anne Rice has a way of drawing you into her fantasies of immortality. Her description of art and decor during that era is fantastic. I have read all of her books and I love the Chronicles. The ageless beauty of Akasha, The Mother and Father, the beginning of mythical vampires. There is a romantic edge to her stories of Lestat and his travels. I can't put her books down. They are awesome! "Queen of the Damned" was excellent writings. Thank you, Anne Rice!!!

Book Review: These books are really really good
Summary: 5 Stars

When I first read Interview With the Vampire, i thought it was going to be another one of those really cheesey titles in which the vampires are these blood sucking goons in which you wonder how the heck some people are supposed to like them.

But, after I read the first few pages of Interview With the Vampire, I was stuck. Before the month was over, I had also purchased all of the other books in this series, and I began to buy all of Ms. Rice's books.

To me, I think that these books/series will always be the best in Rice's works, of course, you will agree whole-heartedly if you read one of these books, which i think are the absolute best things i have ever read. And, you never get tired of it. I think i have now read Memnoch the Devil about 5 times, Queen of the Damned about 10, Interview with the Vampire about 22, The Tale of the Body Thief about 6, and The Vampire Lestat about 20.

My favorite characters are as follows (in order from best to least): Louis, Lestat, Armand, Memnoch, Marius, Khayman/Benjamin, and Claudia.

If you do read this book, you'll think it was worth the price. Totally.

Book Review: Emotional and Intriguing, I couldn't put them down.
Summary: 5 Stars

I've read all of the Vammpire Chronicles. Once I began with The Interview with the Vampire, I was hooked and have been reading Anne Rice books ever since. I find that the most interesting of the chronicles is The Vampire Lestat. His character has become irresistible to me. I can relate to his hyper-sensitivity and selfishness. I just finished Memnoch the Devil, the least of my favorites. I felt that the climax of the book was dragged too far, and I found myself wishing the chapter would end soon. However,Rice has such unbelievable writing talent and such a vast intelligence, that I will forever be a fan.

Book Review: Great series, however with declining quality
Summary: 4 Stars

I've had plenty of time to read the Vampire Chronicle Series during a stay in hospital. I was quickly addicted to the Interview and swallowed the Vampire Lestat as nearly as fast and hungry. Whereas in the first book Anne Rice shows a lot of feeling in their characters (you really look into their soul and feelings), I got the impression that in the following books she more and more goes into a more superficial "story-telling" mode. Everything needs to be explained (where do we come from) and the story goes way back into history. In the "Queen" this becomes close to ridiculous with the story of old Egypt becoming a hot topic. Also, she introduces lots of additional characters that - in my opinion - do not serve the story and the plot. My appetite on each of the books in the collection decreased from book to book and maybe it is a Good Thing that there aren't more of them. I'd recommend the Interview very highly, the Vampire Lestat close to it, but the last two are but a shadow of the first ones.
