lestat is my favorite by far but i also enjoyed memnoch. anne is such a great writer in the chronicles, she writes the characters as if they are real. as u read u are forced to fall in love with lestat and see the world as he sees it.Book Review: Excellent. Well-written, Captivating Story

Anne Rice takes the Vampire myth to a higher, more believable level. The reader feels as if Lestat is an old friend, living his adventures and past along with him. She leaves even the most level headed skeptic wondering if maybe, just maybe, Vampires are real. Rice uses the entity of the vampire to make us examine ourselves and our way of life. The stories are not so much about the struggles of vampires as the struggles of humankind. Undoubtably some of the best fiction ever written. Bravo, Anne.Book Review: Needs more plot!!

Interview and Lestat are _wonderful_ with shocking sentuality, but stop there! the rest of Anne Rice's books are formulaic. A teeny bit of story and too much history made them unbearable. The Lasher series is even worse.Book Review: I ACTUALLY FELT LIKE I WAS THERE !!!!

Rice's descriptive and vivid choice of words is just spectacular As she takes us through the 15th century New Orleans!I fell in love with New Orleans after this book and had to visit there. Also the way she describes the characters and what they're going through,you feel their pain,temptation,and fear.Rice is a genius when it to the "Dark World" of vampires!Book Review: I ACTUALLY FELT LIKE I WAS THERE !!!!
