Carl Sagan is the answer for the people who is able of watching farer. He always tried to explain the knowledge with simple words. Sagan became the knowledge a funny play. Book Review: COSMIC Summary: 5 Stars
An INcredible eye opener. I was worried about all the technical lingo, but it was easy to understand. I am a new person with a broader horizon after reading this book. You look at the earth and the sky in a whole different way. The world would be a much better place if EVERYONE would read this book.
Book Review: Carl Sagan - - an inspirational science writer Summary: 5 Stars
This book will open your eyes to a new way of viewing the entire world and it will blow your mind. Whether you understand the the science of astronomy or not, it doesn't matter with this book. It takes you from the beginnings of astronomical studies to the present(of his time anyways). It has take me to a new understanding of how everything plays together in the Universe.
Book Review: Carl Sagan Writes This More Like An Essay Summary: 2 Stars
Carl Sagan, I believe wrote this book more out to be an essay of what he believes. That sometimes can be a little over-the-top. Usually a long essay will not put out the message fully. The ending of this book didn't truly fulfill what I wanted to read. The book does have some good points about the cosmos but it perhaps put too much emphasis where the book should not have went by doing too much info on the scientists of the cosmo. The truth is, this science book didn't fulfill what I expected of it. And thats all I have to say about this book.
Book Review: Carl Sagan is missed Summary: 5 Stars
I have read many many books pertaining to astronomy and cosmology over the years, but until this book, I had never read anything written by Carl Sagan. What interested me enough to purchase this book was not only the topic it covered, but that the book was itself written by Carl Sagan.
I best remember Carl Sagan from those TV specials he narrated that were aired on public TV many years ago. I was always impressed with Mr. Sagan's knowledge and manner of presentation of the material. His enthusiasm to tell what he knew about the cosmos was never masked by a scripted TV presentation; his enthusiasm was very infectious. So recently, I thought I had to rectify my having never read a book written by Mr. Sagan and I purchased the book Cosmos. I was not disappointed; I felt as if I was watching one of those old TV specials narrated by Mr. Sagan. In my mind's eye, I could see everything I was reading and I did not want the book to end.
Despite that the book may be dated, and cosmology has moved on a bit since the publishing of this book, I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in cosmology, astronomy, astrophysics and even history. I only wish Mr. Sagan was still alive to write something new. He is missed by me.
