Book Review: Challenging book with a few minor issues
Summary: 4 Stars
The musical content of this book is really good. As a guitarist from a blues / rock background trying to achieve an authentic country sound the tips and techniques that this collection of solos demonstrate is very valuable. This would get five stars but there are a few issues which provide some annoyance. There are a number of minor errors in this book where the tablature does not match the musical score. The scored music matches the music on the CD but the tab does not always. This and the fact that the solos on the CD are sometimes pitched slightly differently to the tuning notes provided is enough to lose it one star.
This is a fairly advanced book and you will need to have a decent technique to play these solos at the tempo on the CD provided but then again, practice makes perfect.
