Book Review: Better than you think

I'm disappointed to see all the negative responses to this book--I did cartwheels when I found it.
I've studied other books on character emotions, and liked the bulk of them. But the reason this one sits on my desk is because it's a great *reference* book. Whenever I'm stuck trying to create an authentic emotion, this book's quick ref style comes quickly to my aid. Admittedly, it isn't the book to learn how to write emotions, but it does what I believe it's designed to do: Provide references. What to look for in a particular emotion, the danger signs with each emotion from superficiality to melodrama, good and bad examples of the emotion.
As far as I'm concerned, it can't be replaced as a reference book.
