Book Review: A classic tale of teen depression at it's best
Summary: 5 Stars

Cut is one of the most splendid...sad...truthful...and downright personal dramas about one girls self fufillment, a way she releases her anger toward her parents (or rather her depression), toward her brother, and unevidebly toward other's around her. Not only does she choose to hurt herself with cutting, but she chooses not to speak. And when she finally does some know it all comes in and shows her scars in glory. I like this book for one reason. Not because I can relate to the main character. Not because it was short, sweet, to the point. But because it was REAL and honest to the life of a teenager because I mean lets face it, life sux in highschool. Life sux for me and I'm in highschool. Which is probably because I like this book so much...Callie isn't afraid to not speak, to close everything up and just stop. Stop with the drama. the noise. the world. I wish I was somewhat like her. Maybe not so much not speaking, but to drown the world out.

I think anyone could relate to this book and it's really not that hard to follow or comphrehend or anything like that. It's REALLY TERRIFIC. Good job Patricia! The only beef I have about this book is one thing...who is the therapist? What is her name???????

I wish to know!!!
Or maybe there never was a name...maybe...just maybe...she will forever remain a "you", lol. Ohthewell. HAH.

Book Review: A cutting review!
Summary: 3 Stars

I am reviewing the book "Cut". In my opinion, this book was cool, and I enjoyed reading it. I gave this book three stars for several reasons. In some areas of the book it would get boring and it wasn't as creative as it could of been. But under all that the story is good, and i incourage anybody to read this novel for the great plot and the bizzar twists that this little girl is facing in her life. But you should check this book out, its interesting.

Book Review: A different perspective on cutting.
Summary: 3 Stars

Understanding the thought process behind someone who cuts, I would say the author could have done a bit more research. There were some unrealistic overlapping disorders in this book. The language could have been a bit more showing versus telling as well. Overall it was an alright book, but it just seemed unrealistic to me, someone who cuts would not hold some of the other characteristics the main character had.

Book Review: A great book about real life problems
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm reviewing a great book called Cut by Patricia McCormick. It is a wonderful descriptive novel about a girl named Callie who cuts herself and her father works a lot to make money so they can take care of her brother since he's sick. Her mother doesn't work and she stay's home with her brother Sam so he doesn't get sick anymore. Callie's parents send her to Sea Pines so she can get better just with a little help. Her parents can visit, and do a couple of times. She has to go to group with other people with the same problem as her or something else. Callie doesn't talk during group or even sit by the group. She sits by herself by a window not really paying attention. After group she goes to talk to a counselor to talk about things somewhat personal. To find out what else happens and what Callie decides to do you have to read the book yourself.
I thought this book was very descriptive, and really good to read. If I could rate this book between 1-10 I would rate it a 10. That's how much I liked it. I don't have the same problem as Callie, but I know people that are so it gave me some new perspectives to think about. If you like books about real life problems then you would like this book.

Book Review: A great book..really...
Summary: 5 Stars

This book was really incedible. It just grabbed your attention and made the reader feel as if they were there witnessing, and maybe even participating, in this story. With the descriptive details and realistic events, it is quite a remarkable book to read. It just opens up the reader's eyes to the world of confusing pain and the unknown of the human mind. It truely was a wonderful book.
