Book Reviews of DJing for Dummies

Book Review: A wonderful DJ book for Beginners!
Summary: 5 Stars

I wished I've read this book before I started to DJ a few years ago. This book covers everything on what you need to learn before you commit to an expensive hobby. Everything is explained clearly, on how to setup your expensive DJ gear, how to beatmatch properly, ect.

I also love the fact that the author has a great sense of humor :D

If you're at all interested in learning to DJ, please read this book first!

Book Review: Arrived in good time
Summary: 5 Stars

I haven't had a chance to read or even look through this book yet, but usually this series of books does well in explaining it's subjects. How ever I can say that I am satisfied with the amount of time it took to be delivered to me.

Book Review: Awesome

Book Review: DJing for Dummies Book
Summary: 3 Stars

Nice little reference book for the beginner/novice. Spent sometime getting good tips that can be used right away. Like most Dummies books you only get just enough basic information to get started.

Book Review: Does not include Rhythm For Dummies
Summary: 1 Stars

I was browsing through my local chain bookstore and needed to pick it up. The concept and layout is well done but which is not explained is that being a real DJ is something that is learned and mastered via experience and by dealing with real situations. Another chapter I missed was how to read a room and know what to play and when to play certain music, how to determain if a song will be a HIT on your own without following a chart, suggestions of your local pop station or someone telling you that you need a record to play because their the owner.

Conceptutal technique was explained within the book via examples, pictures but if you dont have a lick of talent or a sense of ryhthm you are wasting your money.
