Book Review: Fantastic resource

Like me you may have a love of some kind of music. You may see a live DJ and think to your self "I know I could do that" but really not know anybody in the industry or with the same fascination. I found this book to be informative and a great introduction to the concept of DJing. I am reading it for the second time. It has helped me along on several different levels, invaluable really!!!Book Review: Good book for the beginner or intermediate level DJ.

This book did a great job of explaining a lot of the basic elements involved in DJ'ing. I knew a lot of it from just reading around on the internet, but it goes in to detail and explains it to you very clearly.
As someone who was looking for a little bit more information before picking up all of my gear, I found this book to be a pretty good entry level introduction to the various equipment, styles, tips during sets, and other useful information.
Whether or not you are doing this for pure hobbyist enjoyment, or plan on becoming a professional, club playing DJ, this book can point you in the right direction and give you some helpful information.

This book is great for anyone who's just getting started with DJing. I've been using Ableton Live for over a year now, and this book has helped me improve my techniques. I do intend to eventually begin using turntables in my setup, so this book was an excellent choice. Furthermore, this book includes information on promoting yourself, and has good advice about topics that you might not think about until it's too late!
Even if you're already a pretty good DJ, this book can help you become even more successful, especially if you're getting ready to play out.

Before reading this book I had already DJ'd a few gigs but I would still have considered myself a beginner. This is a great book to read whether you're pro or just starting out. It helped me become much more professional as a DJ and it helped me market myself much more efficiently. It also helped me hone my skills as well. This is a must for all DJ's!
