Daisy? Doesn't sound Latin. But she is!! The cookbook is great and I have many. This is my new favorite. I'm tired of cooking the same old dishes. Italian, steaks, novelle. I have a new direction. The recipies are easy to follow and the illustrations are excellent. I highly recommend this book. The "ropo vieja" was my first. Don't be stingy with the soprito!! Gracias!

Oh, Daisy! The minute I saw you coming onto the cooking scene I loved you ! I was lucky enough to catch her first show, and knew I had to either tape all her shows, or wait till she came out with her first book.
I am glad I own her recipe collection in print (hopefully not her only one ...), and cook "Hispanic" exclusively from her pages. I am not Hispanic, but I savor the flavor, and she's got it right for my tastebuds. Also - no fuss and frills in making any of her dishes. Lovely Lady with a wonderful attitude !
