Book Review: No tree should die for this.....

It's early in 2009 so there's time for lots of other books to be the very worst I read this year, but this one is going to give them a run for their money! How do I enumerate the awfulness? The editing was terrible. Faulty capitalization; spotty grammar; strange word choices and misspellings. That was a big turn off that I could have forgiven had the story and characters been good. They were equally horrible. The Casey character kept breaking off dialog. So distracting and unnecessary. Did nothing for the characterization except to make me wonder about the editor and publisher. The characters were all cartoonish - and not in the good graphic novel way.
On page 30 I decided to get a red marker and correct the publisher's errors just to pass the time since the story wasn't holding my interest. By page 34 there was just too much red, and losing interest in that I began to think of the murdered pedophiles, and how lucky they were to be dead rather than having to read this. On page 46 I thought, "This can't be SO bad that I already know X is the killer!" and of course I was wrong. It was that bad! And X was the killer.
Save your money and your time and give this a pass. But the picture of the snake on the front of the book.....that was really good!
