Book Review: The BEST of the Dark Series

I've enjoyed the Dark Series from the 1st one I read and have been quickly adding other Dark books to my collection. It can be fun and rewarding to discover an author when he/she already has many books written in a series.
I love the change in plot from the other books. I also enjoyed them, but was happy to get away from the Vampire Hunters both Carpathian and human. This book was more of a romance mystery--a bit along the lines of Victoria Holt or Phyllis Whitney, but with more romance and vampire thrown in for good measure. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out "who did it", but I couldn't tell and had to wait for the author to reveal the killer.
Christine also introduced a new character, or rather he is new to me, but I haven't read book 1.5 and think that perhaps he is mentioned there.
I won't give away the plot since many others have listed main parts of the story, but I will say that you definitely should read this book. I think that even if you were tired of previous plots (I wasn't) you'll like the twists and turns in Dark Symphony.
