Book Review: so sad but enthralling
Summary: 5 Stars
Picked this book up purely by chance at a local bookshop. An uncorrected proof prior to publication. Started to read and could not put it down. Very sad, but yet has an understated joy in living that comes through. Marvellous use of myth and legend and celtic tales. I have read it twice so far, and simply can't wait for the next book. I want to know what happens to all the main characters, and especially poor Finbar. Will he ever find what he is looking for, and does he know what it is? It is also ironic to read of the beginnings of "the troubles" in Ireland knowing that they are still with us. An enthralling read which I would recommend to anyone who loves fantasy, fairytales, myth,legend and celtic tales, in short it goes across many different classifications.
