IF YOU ARE A DIED IN THE WOOL SPARKS FAN THEN YOU ARE ALREADY IN LOVE WITH THIS NOVEL . I HAVE FAVORITE AUTHORS TOO BUT, CAN BE JUST AS CRITICAL OF THEM . I WAS HOWEVER QUITE SURPRISED WHEN NEITHER ONE OF THE MAIN CHARCATERS DIED , WHICH IS A NICE CHANGE .
TO SUM IT UP QUICKLY AND NOT GIVE ANYMORE AWAY AS SOME REVIEWERS DO ...
IT IS AN OK BOOK , NOT GREAT , SOMETIMES VERY , VERY SLOW MOVING AS IF THE AUTHOR WERE AT A LOSS FOR SCENES WHICH LEFT OUR TWO LOVERS TALKING, TALKING . MAYBE THIS SHOULD BE TITLED " ON AND ON " . BUT, WE DO GET TO SOME INTERESTING ASPECTS FINALLY AND A BIT SAD ..BUT, THEN, THIS IS NICHOLAS SPARKS WE'RE TALKING ABOUT HERE AND AS ALWAYS IN HIS FICTIONAL NOVELS THERE CAME THE BOO-HOO ENDING OF WHICH MOST OF US HAVE COME TO EXPECT .
IT IS NOT A HORRIBLE BOOK BUT, I THINK MOST READERS ( ALL OF WHOM ARE WOMEN ) OVER THE AGE OF 30 WILL FIND IT A BIT JUVENILE . GLAD I GOT THIS AS A GIFT . IF YOU CAN, BUY IT DISCOUNT OR BETTER YET , THE LOCAL LIBRARY .
