Book Reviews of Deep DishBook Review: Rip Roaring Farce Which Makes Tales of the City Seem Tame in Comparison. Summary: 5 Stars
This joyful romp through 1970's Chicago is a joyful read with a soap opera slant. Mr Harsharger has made a book with a kalediscope of characters who are interwoven within each others lives to provide a community of colourful characters that will make you laugh out loud. Enjoyable and fun.
Book Review: Wonderful Reading Summary: 5 Stars
I really think Marc Harshbarger's book Deep Dish is a comic masterpiece. It's fast, funny, knowing and refreshingly effervescent.
Book Review: enjoy it a la mode Summary: 5 Stars
Do you remember the 70's? Are you gay or straight? Something in between? Are you human? If you can answer "yes" to any of the above questions, you'll find much to enjoy in Marc Harshbarger's deep dish. It comes at you fast, furious and funny - a surreal soap opera of comically epic proportions. As outrageous as that unforgettable decade itself, deep dish is a time trip well worth taking. So deliciously chunky you'll be tempted to eat it with a fork.... but use a spoon, because you'll want to get every drop! An outstanding debut novel by Mr. Harshbarger - I'm already looking forward to the sequel.
