Book Review: 'OK' analysis, but Chomskys criticism applies to ALL powers
Summary: 3 Stars
Chomsky is correct in much of what he says, but one has to ask the question: `So what?'. EVERY power acts out of self-interest.The US has done whatever any other country with its resources would have done to maximise its geopolitical advantage, so Chomsky fills up much of his book with needless rhetoric. Having said that, Chomsky's analysis is sound and so deserves 3 stars.
The previous reviewer's comment on Russia, China and India is hardly Chomskian. Using Chomskian arguments, it may make more sense for India to form a strategic partnership with the US.
But overall, an interesting read.
