This is a really in depth look at infant hygiene, which is prefect for people like me that really want all the information they can get on a subject, not just the basic overview. I really appreciated all of the research Bauer did, and I can't wait to use natural infant hygiene with my child. Upon first hearing the term "Diaper Free" most people get the wrong idea, assuming an infant has no awareness of their bodily functions, and being diaper free would mean allowing your infant to 'go' all over the place. When you are done reading this book you will begin to understand that Natural Infant Hygiene is not new, but the natural way of caring for and an infant's elimination needs. It is practiced all over the world and always has been. The other thing people might assume is that it is 'too hard', or too 'time consuming'. The truth is that it's actually easier and faster with better results than the standard diapering and potty training model we are accustomed to. I will be proud to not only deepen the bond with my child, but significantly decrease my impact on the environment and my pocket book!
