Book Review: Art affects literature!!

I first heard about the artistic genius of Dali, when I was in college. One of my colleagues had a poster of a Dali piece taped to her wall. I think that he was a misunderstood artist with a talent that redefined art and painting for the modern era. Dali changed the way people see the world by forcing people to look at the subconscious underlying themes and representation--that is what makes abstract art great. While some critics say that abstract art shows a lack of true artistic skill because these painting do not show the ability to make a painting look like photograph, which is what the impressionist artist and Renaissance painters all sought after. However, there was the invention of cameras and no need to paint a picture that looks exactly like a photograph, but to create a painting that sees beyond reality and into the soul and the inner eye of humanity with both sorrow and insanity!
