I have to say plot is multi-layer, and the twists really surprise me. The reasons behind the character's actions are believable and reasonable. However, it doesn't draw your attention like Da Vinci Code. There is just something missing that doesn't create that "can't put down" reaction. Perhaps, because when David runs around finding the ring, I know that he won't find it until near the end, so it's doesn't create any suspences. Or perhaps I know for a fact that Susan, who is working on finding the owner of the code, is not in imediate danger, so there is no worry on what will happen to her. That's why I feel that the middle part drags a bit too long.
