Book Review: Poor offering for a very good game

I'm a big Disgaea fan. The story, the graphics and the humour appeal to me. I was looking forward to the manga as an extension of the game.... I was to be sorely disappointed.
The manga artwork bears no relationship at all to the style of the game or the anime, the cover art should be classed as deceptive advertising as it bears no relation to the contents. In my opinion the artwork is generally shoddy and has the feel of a rushed money making exercise than a genuine manga. Added to which, they manage to shoehorn the entire game/series into a single volume ! They've missed out huge sections of plot- many of which were integral to the original game storyline.
If you're not familiar with the world of Disgaea, buy the game or watch the anime. It'll be a far more enjoyable experience than reading this manga.
