Bravo Mr. Cooper Bravo!!!! A beautiful read from a great reporter. For many this book may seem as a ego trip which talks about Mr. Cooper - 360 degrees. A story of a rich boy whose loss makes him choose a path less traveled.
Many a times people want to forget the actual pain and suffering one would go through after a disaster strikes their life. Reporters pry on the disaster for air time and move on. But what we really do not get to hear are the inner demons these reporters battle every single day of their lives. That's the story Mr. Cooper brings out in his book.
He iterates his experiences in a chronological order. And tries to run them in parallel to bring out the sad, morbid, terrible and poignant similarities that exist between disasters. He does a brilliant job at both - the story telling and keeping it honest to the tee.
What I loved most about the book how his pessimistic views towards the end seemingly change to that of an optimistic one.
