My son got this book for his first Christmas at 6mo old. He is very familiar with dogs and the book was an instant favourite. So much so that it got to the point where we had to hide the book because everytime he saw it we would have to read him the book 3 or 4 times. At the high point I was probably reading that book over 12 times a day no joke. It is filled with lots of touch and feel spots and pull tabs for animation. We still read him the book now he is 15 mo old but all the animatioons have been ripped out while we were not looking. This is not to say that the book is poorly constructed our son just likes the animation bits so much that he wants to take them with him as he treks around the house so he rips them out. We have just recently received the cat book I am looking forward to his reaction to this book. Again this is his absolute favourite book. Buy this book but when you do be prepared to read it and keep on reading it.
