Book Reviews of Dragon's Bait

Book Review: revenge isnt the only thing on her mind
Summary: 5 Stars

When i first saw dragons Bait i thought it would be boring. But the second time i was interested how many books do you see with captions on the back about how the dragon doesnt see her??
Also the fact that she teams up with him to get back at the town for killing her father.
What i thought was interesting was how she got back at the people who had accused her.during the whole book i was waiting for them to figure out that they liked each other ,but surprisingly that didnt happen until the end of the book but istill read it occasionally if i feel like reading about a egotistical dragon and a girl who wants revenge

Book Review: utterly charming!
Summary: 4 Stars

I started this book once I got it this morning and finished in one reading. Although somewhat short, it is a wonderful read, something I expected from the talented Vivian Vande Velde. I'd read Companions of the Night years ago and it is still one of my favorite books, and now this book can share a place beside it.

I liked Alys as a strong female lead, but Selendrile the dragon completely stole the show. Secretive and sexy, he helps Alys for no particularly good reason, and the actions between the two got many snickers and giggles out of me. I just loved how they interacted, the conversations and things they went through together.

A very easy, sit-back-and-enjoy read, and not just for younger readers, either. I was pretty bummed because it seemed to end so suddenly...I'm craving more Alys and Selendrile! The ending was very open and I have a faint glimmer of hope that there'll be another adventure added to this delightful tale.

Also, if you have never read Companions of the Night and you read this book and liked it, I'd suggest that to you too. There's a marvelously familiar ring to it.
