This is a gorgeous coffee-table book which views the diamond of the James Bond phenomenon through many visually stunning facets. While focusing primarily on the fashion styles worn by all 5 actors who have portrayed the sauve cinematic superspy, this lavishly illustrated book delves deeply into the entire socio-cultural context surrounding not just the Bond films but also the Ian Fleming novels. There is ample coverage of the many cinematic and televised heroes who have competed with or copied 007, plus some others who laid the groundwork for the Bond era. The highlight of the book is the large collection of excellent photographs, mostly in color, of James Bond movie stills, publicity poses, rare candids and familiar classic shots, poster art reproductions, and more. This superb book will certainly become a treasured addition to the collection of the serious James Bond collector, and will attract not just the eyes only of even the most casual of 007 fans.
