Book Review: Excellent Reading for any age

My 9 year old son asked for this book for Easter. He races karts and Little E is his favorite Nascar driver. We have the same paint scheme as the Bud car on the kart!! Easter was less than 1 month ago and he has already finished reading the book and loved everything about it. This is excellent in the eyes of a parent to have a child of this age read a book of this length in this period of time. He has learned alot about Earnhardt reading the book and has shared the information with us on many occasions. He has greatly enjoyed it and will be disappointed that he has reached the end and not have Driver #8 to read tomorrow!Book Review: Fantastic, personal glimps

I am not usually an autobiography reader, but I was more than interested in what Little E had to say. He is a young, energetic guy with a fresh attitude toward driving and NASCAR in general. I enjoyed reading his perspective on the fans, the media, the sponsors, and especially on the other drivers. On TV, you only gets snippets of edited sound bites, but this book gives the fans a chance to spend "a season in the life" of a real guy living an unreal life. He doesn't hide the bad stuff for the sake book - he is honest and forthcoming - very refreshing.Great effort by Earnhardt!

This book is excellent. It is such a fast read, and written for the exact perspective that any NASCAR fan will love. You feel like you are looking over Jr's shoulder the whole year. I waited a very long time for this book and let me tell you it was so worth the wait! This isn't for just Dale JR fans but for anyone who loves the sport of NASCAR! It gives you insight to what it is like to be him. From race day to all of the appearances all over you feel like your a part of his life. I read this book in 1 day it was so good I couldn't put it down. There is a small section of photos in the middle, which is a nice little touch. Anyone who has been a fan to Nascar for years or new fans should defintely buy this book to get a prespective of what it is like to be a Nascar driver. This book is the next best thing to being a buddy of JR's!
