Book Review: THIS IS THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!!

Duck on a Bike is a really great book. It is about a duck that gets a wild idea and he gets on a bike and starts riding it. Duck rides around the farm. He sees a bunch of animals who thinks he's wonderful, and such a show off, and I'm better and stuff like that. Around the end of the book a bunch of kids rode on bikes to the farm and went inside. All of the animals started staring at the bikes. They all got on a bike. They all got the same crazy idea. "Lets get on the bikes". So they all rode around and around on the bikes. This is so awesome. David Shannon's pictures of the animals are so wonderfully expressed. My favorite expression is the horse. Is because you can tell the expression with out even looking at the words. I would tell you more but then you wouldn't be reading the book because I would of told you the whole book. I would recommend this book to anyone because it is a really great book that you won't ever forget. K.C.Book Review: The Bike Gang

On this summer day, Duck sees a bike. He gets a funny idea that he can ride it. After a little bit of practice, Duck is able to ride the bike all over the farm. He shows off to all his friends, Sheep, Goat, and Horse. They all say hes weird for riding the bike. Later that day, about 10 kids drove by with their bikes and parked them. And can you guess what happend?I thought this story was a pretty good one. It told people not to be afriad to be different.

My daughter had to hide this book from her 15-month old twin boys because they insisted on many repeat readings at each sitting. (Same with Brown Bear, Brown Bear--recently hidden, then brought out, and she had to read it to them 11 times. When they come to the end they start to whimper so Mom has to start again! lol!!!)
The big wonderful illustrations of Duck really captivate the kids. I think we'll have to spring for a copy. We have them over every week.

My favorite pages are the 2 with no words...the expressions on the animals' faces are priceless!
This is a read and re-read and read again and again.
