Book Review: Players Handbook 4th Edition

Basically, this and the other core rulebooks sucked.
All the exciting aspects indicated in the guide to races and classes, eg differnt weapon styles, racial leveling progression, greater variety etc failed to materialise.
This system is basic, clunky and plays like an MMORPG or D&D minis that a RPG. The core rulebooks are reduced in size, content and design. The feats list is tiny compared to its predecessors, spell variety has been eliminated almost completely and you are likely to end up with the same statted party no matter who you play with.
The DMG and MM suffer similar flaws. For those who play RPGA games, the card reward system turns the game even more into a Customisable Card Game! it sucks big time.
Having bought these books they are goin on ebay tomorrow!
My home campaign is moving to pathfinder (piazo'S) 3.5+ ruleset which is far better.
