Dvoretsky's reputation as a top writer for chess training books opens the road for every publishing act he makes. I'm pretty sure, without reading the book, that it's an excellent choice for serious chess players that they want to win more game points. Because knowing how to play the endgame well makes the crucial difference between half a point to a full point.
