Book Reviews of Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia

Book Review: a fun, honest read
Summary: 5 Stars

This book made me want to travel again. I loved the way she wrote. I thought she was very honest about what she went through in her life and found it to be a fun and easy book to read. I felt like I was taking the journey with her and made me want to take up new things in life. I am passing this book on to my family and friends. We discussed it in my book group and we all really enjoyed it.

Book Review: A Spiritual Journey Without Leaving My Easy Chair
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been a Super Seeker for decades and have read a gazillion spiritual/mystical books...so many that I stopped doing so for the last couple of years as I thought I'd read it all, seen it all...been there done that. Fortunately for me I was on a ten day cruise and their tiny library held mostly books I had no interest in but there was ONE book that caught my eye, `eat, pray, love'. I was entranced, laughed myself silly, was fascinated by Elizabeth's courage, wisdom and daring...and her amazing ability to share on such a deep level...I felt I was in Italy, India and Indonesia with her. What a gift she has. I now look forward to reading everything she has ever written and am hopeful that she will do a year in three other countries and keep an ongoing journal to share with us. I wish their was a rating higher than 5! All I can say is Thank You

Book Review: Mid-Life Crisis....?....Read This Book
Summary: 5 Stars

Elizabeth Gilbert hits the nail on the head. Beauty, faith and the
balance between both. For those of us facing the proverbial mid-life
crisis, or even wondering, is that all there is, Ms. Gilbert delivers
a book with legs. For travelers, the three venues, all so different,
provide that thrilling look inside a city we may never get four months
in which to wander about. For the soul searchers among us, Ms. Gilbert
offers insight into the mind of a woman (most women) looking for answers
in the chaos of love, lost love, rediscovered love, and most significantly
a connection with the spirituality of all things past and present tucked
neatly away in the heart. The trick is to tap into the heart. This is reason enough for India to be my favorite section of the book. Makes you want to go to an Ashram doesn't it?

Book Review: Love It, Love Her, Love Life!
Summary: 5 Stars

I listened to half of this book on CD (read by the author) and read the other half. I find that listening to Ms. Gilbert's voice and inflection is very helpful in fully grasping and appreciating this book. I bought the book too. I have given out several copies to date and plan to keep on giving them out. There are so many wonderful messages within the personal story of Ms. Gilbert. Buy it. READ IT or LISTEN TO IT. It is a beautifully moving and highly recomended.

Book Review: What a delightful book.........LOVED it
Summary: 5 Stars

This is just a delightful book. Ms. Gilbert's wit and wisdom makes me want her as my best friend....or atleast, my travelling companion. In parts she is laugh-out-loud funny and in others she draws you in to a center of knowing which is almost painful.
I really hated to finish this book.
It was a wonderful adventure.
